Dedicated to the Utility Industry

We are proud to introduce Utility Fleet Professional (UFP), a new magazine to the market. It is the only publication dedicated to the unique informational needs required by utility fleet, equipment and maintenance managers. The utility fleet is characterized by the variety and complexity of the equipment and is more than 2 million vehicles strong. These specialized fleets are managed by professionals with distinct product, service and informational needs. They should not have to sift through more general publications to find relevant solutions.

The utility contractor fleet professional is also part of our readership. This growing market segment is not to be underestimated as they continue to expand their presence and equipment in supporting utilities. While UFP is new, its publishing team has a long track record in the utility industry. Combined they bring more than 60 years of utility industry experience to the magazine.

Editorial content will be led by Seth Skydel. Seth has enjoyed covering the fleets market for more than 20 years. He spent many of those years as an editorial contributor to Utility & Telecom Fleets magazine, regretfully no longer published. Seth is well connected to the industry and looks forward to keeping UFP readers current on green fleet topics, outsourcing, shop equipment, fuel management systems, truck body design, regulatory updates and so much more.

Carla Housh, publisher, has been in the utility publications market for more than 20 years. She currently produces the popular and fast-growing Incident Prevention (iP) magazine. iP is a highly-respected publication serving the utility safety audience. Carla once served as publisher for Utility & Telecom Fleets magazine. The addition of UFP presents a great opportunity and is a logical companion to iP.

Kurt Moreland, associate publisher, has also benefited from a long career in niche utility publications. For many years Kurt was a leading ad sales generator for Utility & Telecom Fleets. He looks forward to working with advertisers in building effective media solutions in print and online.

In 2013 we will produce five issues of UFP. Each issue will be produced in conjunction with key industry events such as: the Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC), International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), NTEA Work Truck Show, NAFA 2013, Intitute & Expo Upper Midwest Utility Fleets Council, and HTUF 2013.
